Click here and see the incredible pictures taken by François Portmann, a New York based Swiss photographer. He was in Portugal some time ago and traveled around with the A2Z Adventures team, taking pictures for the Mountain Bike magazine September article on our “Grande Rota” mountain biking trip.

Since then he has traveled all over the world, capturing the most amazing images.

Lance’s track…and foot!

Wednesday, December 3rd, 2008

Lance\'s left footTHE 7-win rider keeps surprising everyone… or not. But what is really cool is to follow Lance’s steps (or pedal strokes…) in his twitter blog. Yes, he confirms he is going to ride the 2009 Tour de France, plus the Giro ??!!! Wow, man! Who wants to join for a ride in the Dolomites starting in Venezia? I’m IN ! (take a look at the previews/rumours before the official route announcement on Dec 9th). And definitely in the Pyrenees doing the climbs of the Tour de France in our A2Z Adventures Tour

A2Z Adventures Racing

Wednesday, December 3rd, 2008

We decided to test our new A2Z Adventures fancy outfits going out and racing on the dirt. I´m sure you agree the outfit looks good but our legs suffered a bit… Pedro Pedrosa and Antonio Silva, two of A2Z Adventures co-founders had to climb more than 4000 mts in one day, during the 96km first day stage of Geo-Raid series, a new MTB event type that had its first edition in October.

The second day consisted of a 68km stage with +2000 mts of climbing. It was fun… and hard. We finished 22nd out of 72 teams which is not too bad since Antonio was getting back to racing after a long stop due to an injury. Geo-Raid events are a 2 riders team competition following a GPS route. More next year. Keep riding!
